Helpful Hints for the "Sunday Shooter"
When taking a lens from air conditioning into outdoor heat - wait a few minutes before snapping that first photo. The lens will need some time to adjust to the change in temperature. If you get in a hurry, your photos will be "fogged."

"I long to have such a memorial of every being dear to me in the world. It is not merely the likeness which is precious in such cases - but the association and the sense of nearness involved in the thing . . . the fact of the very shadow of the person lying there fixed forever! . . . I would rather have such a memorial of one I dearly loved, than the noblest artist's work ever produced." ~Elizabeth Barrett Browning on photographic portraits

Prevent dehydration. Make sure your pets get plenty of water through these hot summer months. Provide shade when they're outside and never leave them in a closed vehicle.

Helpful Hints for the Sunday Shooter"

My name is Georgia. I'm happy to say that a short time ago I got very lucky. The Nichols family rescued me from a Humane Society shelter. I'm hoping that many of you will also consider getting your next pet from a shelter. Lots of wonderful companion animals wait daily, hoping for a lucky break that will change their life.
